Education

The Montana Board of Realty Regulation (BRR) requires that every real estate licensee complete a minimum of 12 credit hours of continuing education every year.  These credits must be completed by October 31st of each year.  A minimum of 4 of the 12 credits must be "mandatory".

When attending GAR Continuing Education Classes:

In order to receive credit, you must comply with the Board of Realty Regulation's attendance policy (see below).  The Gallatin Association of REALTORS® intends to follow the BRR's policy in order to maintain our accreditation status.  It is each licensee's responsibility to ensure that steps are followed in order to guarantee credits.

"The licensee must attend 90 percent of each hour of the approved course time in order to receive credit for attendance."

***This means that you will not receive credit if:

a. You arrive more than six minutes after the class start time

(no matter what the reason: weather, traffic, line at coffee shop)

b. You take a non-official break lasting longer than six minutes.

c. Any of your missed class time adds to be more than six minutes in a given hour.

***Remember:  A signature is required on the sign-in sheet before class begins.  Subsequently, initials are required after every break.  If initials are missing, you will not receive credit.

Those who miss more than 90% of a single hour of class time may continue to atten the class for informational purposes, however, will not receive credit.
